The Althon XLS range of Headwalls have been introduced to cater for large diameter pipe culverts where heavier loads are experienced such as within Highway boundaries and rail applications.  These Headwalls have a design life of 120 years and an exposure class of XD3.

The Althon XLS Headwalls can cater for pipe diameters up to 2100mm.

SFA 7th Edition Headwall Gratings

Althon now offer a range of Sewers for Adoption Specification gratings for pipe outfalls. These gratings are available as stand-alone items or pre-fitted to our concrete headwalls.

Manufactured in accordance with the latest Sewers for Adoption Edition (7) Water UK/WRc PLC guidance, the width of the Gratings is the outside diameter (OD) of the pipe plus a minimum of 270mm. The Grilles are side hinged with a padlock facility.

Althon SFA 7th Edition Gratings are fully galvanised after manufacture in accordance with BS EN 1461.

Althon Manhole Pipe Saftey Chains

Althon have launched a range of Manhole Pipe Safety Chains.

Althon Manhole Safety Chains should be secured across the sewer pipe on the downstream side to prevent anyone being swept away whilst in the manhole. 

Althon Manhole Pipe Chains comply with Sewers for Adoption 7^th Edition and the Civil Engineering Specification for the Water Industry.  Each kit comprises two Dynaset M8 Anchors, two M8 Eyebolts, two Carbine Snap Hooks and the requisite length of chain. Each kit is available in Galvanised Mild Steel or Stainless Steel.
