Bitumen Waterproofing on Headwalls

We have recently supplied several headwalls to a project on the A5 in Leicestershire. The specification called for two coats of bitumen waterproofing to be applied to all buried surfaces. The bitumen waterproofing was applied at the factory allowing the Headwall to be lifted directly into place on site without the need for any additional work to be carried out. Avonmouth Headwalls

We have recently supplied several of our precast concrete headwalls fitted with Kee Klamp® handrails and a mesh infill. The mesh infill helps to provide extra security in the handrail and we can add this to any of our existing galvanised handrail options.

New AH8C and AH9C headwall ranges

We are pleased to announce we have two new ranges of precast concrete headwalls. The AH8C and AH9C angled headwall ranges allow the water to discharge at 90 degrees to the waterflow or body of water. If specified with the correct sized toe the AH8C headwalls meets Sewerage Sector Guidance (SSG). The range is available with two back wall height and two toe thickness options each with three depth options.

HDPE Flap Valves

What are Flap Valves?
Flap valves and flap gates are a type of non-return valve (NRV) used to prevent flooding and to stop water back-flowing up pipework connecting into ponds, ditches, swales, rivers and marine or tidal environments.

What type do you offer?
Our range of flap valves and flap gates includes wall mounted flap valves, tidal flap valves, flange mounted flap valves as well as push fit and pipe mounted flap valves. As standard our HDPE flap valves have a 50 year design life. Althon HDPE flap valves can be manufactured to suit site specific installation requirements and operating water pressures.

Can I have a flap valve factory fitted to an Althon Headwall?                 
Yes! Althon flap valves can be factory fitted to our precast concrete headwalls and chambers. For installation on site by others we supply a EPDM seal, stainless steel fixings and chemical anchors.
