Ouse & Humber Drainage Board

Originally specified as a cast in-situ unit, two of our SFA27A Headwalls were recently supplied to the Ouse & Humber Drainage Board at Blacktoft & Laxton Pumping Stations.  PN16 Flanged HDPE/SS316L Flap Valves for pumping applications were supplied and fitted to both openings in each Headwall, threaded sockets cast in during manufacture provided fixing points and the same configuration of fixings were cast into the rear of the Headwall allowing direct connection of 600mm ID Ductile Iron Pipe.

Althon have recently launched a standard range of both 45 and 60 degree sloped trash screens with sides for pipework from 150mm to 1500mm. Our sloped trash screens are typically manufactured in galvanised steel but can be manufactured in stainless steel on request.

AH4C Angled Headwalls

The AH4C Angled headwall has been designed specifically to meet the Environment Agency’s ‘Standard rules SR2015 No 27 – Constructing an outfall pipe of 300mm diameter through a headwall into a main river & Exempt flood risk activities: environmental permits section FRA12 ‘Outfall pipes less than 300mm diameter through a headwall’.  The AH4C allows water to discharge at a 45 Deg. angle, the Environment Agency’s preferred method when discharging into a watercourse.  Available with three different back wall heights and a separate Toe in three depth options that ensure not only is it easier to handle but easier to install & more importantly ensures the foundation around the toe and beneath the Headwall structure can be well compacted.

Hand Stop Gates

Althon have launched a range of Hand Stop Gates manufactured in HDPE with an EPDM Seal. 

Our Hand Stop Gate is a simple manually operated valve for small dimension openings and low pressures. The Hand Stop Gate is available to suit 150, 200, 250, 300, 400 & 500mm Dia. openings and has a maximum on and off seating pressure is equal to the height of construction.
