Headwalls with Pond Liner Brackets 

Did you know Althon have can manufactured precast headwalls with pond liner brackets pre fitted?! 

We have recently supplied several headwalls to Norfolk with pre fitted pond liner brackets. Having the brackets factory fitted saves time on site and makes for easy installation. 

You can use our Headwall Specifier to find the headwall you require. On request we can provide pricing and design drawings for your chosen headwall with pond liner brackets.

New ASA Manhole & Hydrobrake Penstocks

Althon has a new range of ASA Manhole & Hydrobrake Penstocks which have been designed for use in manhole chambers and hyrdobrake chambers. 

Our Hydrobrake penstocks are suitable for use with pipework up to 300mm and have a design life of 50 years at 1Mwc and 72 hours at 5Mwc.

Typically the contractor will create a flat surface within the manhole chamber to fix the penstock to. The smoother the surface finish of the concrete the better the seal will be between the penstock and the wall. We provide all required fixing bolts, chemical anchors and an EPDM seal with every penstock.

Flood Expo 2019, NEC Birmingham 

Last week we had a fantastic time exhibiting at the Flood Expo in Birmingham. It was great to meet so many people and share our extensive range of products.

We were nominated for the Resilience Award at our first ever Flood Expo and were awarded 2^nd place.

We had on display several products from our range such as HDPE Flap Valves, HDPE Penstocks, Inline Penstocks, WaStop Valves and Precast Headwalls. We also debuted our new range of HDPE pump chambers which we is set to launch in the UK in 2020.

Fish Friendly Flap Valves

Althon design and manufacture high quality HDPE fish and eel friendly flap valves and fish friendly flap gates. Althon fish friendly flap vales are designed to prevent harm to fish as they migrate through flood and flow control equipment.

All of our fish friendly flap vales are manufactured in HDPE and SS316L with a design life of 50 years. Typically our flap valves are designed to max 5Mwc (72hrs) and 1Mwc (50 years) but we can tailor this to suit your specific requirements.

Althon fish friendly flap valves can be factory fitted to our precast concrete headwalls and chambers. For installation on site we supply with our fish friendly flap valves an EPDM seal, stainless steel fixings and chemical anchors
