Penstock Endwall H44CC

A one-piece reinforced concrete endwall available in a standard width of 1680mm and a height of 1730mm. Particularly suitable for steep embankments. Due to the relatively narrow footprint of the unit (back to front) it is advisable to fit suitable brackets to attach ground anchors. The penstock endwall H44CC can accommodate up to a 1000mm Penstock. Stainless steel sockets are provided for the attachment of gratings. Lifting points are cast in to each wingwall for safe handling using Althon lifting clutches.

We cast the opening in the back wall of our headwalls to suit the pipe diameter and material of the pipe being used. We can cast multiple pipe openings, elliptical, square or rectangular culvert openings into any of our headwalls. We can also cast pipe openings into the wing walls of our headwalls.

Althon Headwalls offer a cost effective alternative to in-situ structures for connecting pipework discharging into open water courses.

All drainage pipes discharging into open watercourses, such as swales, ditches, ponds and rivers, should be fitted with an appropriate Althon headwall.
