GRP Mammal Ledges

Althon manufacture mammal ledges in GRP with support bracktes for installation into new or existing culverts.

Mammal ledges allow animals such as badgers, otters and other wildlife to pass through culverts or under bridges reducing the risk of drowning in the culvert or river.

GRP Mammal Ledges are designed for an imposed load of 1kN/m². At 500mm wide 1kN/m² is equivalent to 0.5kN/m or 50kg per metre.

Our GRP mammal ledges are durable, lightweight and easy to install with non – slip surfaces. CAD and PDF download drawings are available from the website. Our ledges can be combined with our precast headwalls at the end of culverts. Please contact us for design assistance and pricing.
