Headwall Brochure 

Althon have released an updated headwall brochure giving a detailed overview of our range of precast headwalls.

The brochure was produced for the FloodExpo 2019 at which Althon exhibited. The brochure not only gives details on our range of concrete headwalls but also our other products such as flap valves, penstocks and drainage channels.

Precast concrete chamber with factory fitted penstock and actuator 

Althon precast concrete penstock manhole chambers are cast to order to suit any pipe openings and invert levels required. The benefit of using one of our concrete penstock manhole chambers is that we factory fit accessories to the unit prior to delivery to site. We can factory fit the penstock and actuator instead of manually using a spindle and T-Key if required.

Headwalls with Cascade Panels 

We have recently manufactured a precast concrete headwall complete with a 8.5m long cascade panel for a project in Sunderland.

You can use our Headwall Specifier to find the headwall you require. We can then assist with pricing and design drawings detailing Cascade panels on our headwall drawings in CAD and PDF

Headwalls with Tideflex Valves 

Althon can manufacture concrete headwalls with Tideflex duckbill valves. We factory fit the duckbill valves to our precast concrete headwalls ensuring they fit properly and reducing installation time on site. Factory fitting duckbill valves to headwalls also means the headwalls do not have to be drilled on site which has great health and safety benefits.

New Precast Concrete N Headwall Range 

Althon have a new range of precast concrete headwalls that have been designed to suit steep banks or site conditions that have little depth from back to front for installation.

Our new N range of headwalls are manufactured to the same standards as our Sewers for Adoption headwalls and can be used on Section 104 Agreements where the sewers are to be adopted by the local water company.

We cast the opening in the back wall to suit the pipe diameter and material of the pipe being used. We can cast multiple pipe openings, elliptical, square or rectangular culvert openings into any of our headwalls. We can also cast pipe openings into the wing walls.
